Program Description

Alternatives for Youth (AY) provides community treatment services to youth ages 12-22 years, and those who care about them. Services include drug and alcohol education, assessment treatment and referral. We also provide support to community services through training, education and consultation on the issues of substance use and youth. Alternatives for Youth's Getting Ready Program is a four-session group-based drug and alcohol education program which focuses on problem solving and decision-making.

Intake completed through main site. Voluntary, self-referral, although may be mandated by another party (principal, parent, probation, etc.). Group sessions are Wednesday evenings when group is running. This group can also be offered on-site at schools and other community services as needed and as service demand allows.
