Program Description

STEPS (Skills to Enhance Personal Success) is a dialectical behavioural skills training group for clients who want to abstain from alcohol or drugs and who need assistance developing a range of skills to cope with urges, triggers, and day-to-day problems.

Access Information

A comprehensive assessment is completed by a social worker to determine suitability for the STEPS group. Clients attend weekly group sessions in addition to individual appointments with a social worker. Clients are referred to this program after completing an assessment at ADGS. Clients must be abstaining or working towards a goal of abstinence from their primary target behaviour, i.e. drugs, alcohol and/or gambling.

The STEPS group is offered on Wednesday from 0930-1200. Individual appointments are scheduled Monday to Friday 0900-1630.
