Program Description

Bellwood Health Services offers a number of family-focused services that provide family members and loved ones an opportunity to understand the addiction process and its impact on the family system and codependency. Bellwood's 3.5-Day Family Program assists family members to begin their own recovery. Family members are given the opportunity to explore their own feelings about, and attitudes toward, addiction and other compulsive behaviours, in a supportive setting under the direction of qualified counsellors. The 3.5-Day Program is held every three weeks from Tuesday until Friday at noon. Age appropriate information sessions for children ages eight to sixteen are available. Bellwood's Addiction Education Day is an introductory workshop designed to provide essential tools and resources to help family members get started on the road to recovery. The Addiction Education Day is held every three weeks on Tuesdays. Bellwood's Family Continuing Care/Aftercare Program offers a safe and confidential environment for family members to discuss issues and struggles related to the addiction of your loved one. Additional family services include individual, family, and marital counselling, and interventions. All family services are available to anyone who has a loved one struggling with an addiction.
