Satellite Treatment Program

Type of Service

Addictions Treatment - Substance Abuse

Program Description

Satellite is an outpatient opiate treatment program that works from a harm reduction, trauma informed approach, designed to reduce drug-related harm, without requiring the cessation of drug use. Our role is to support people who are addressing opiate use, by providing a safe and accessible space and a qualified multi-disciplinary staff team who help clients set and achieve wellness goals. Clients can access opiate replacement therapies (methadone and suboxone), counselling, and case management. A facilitated drop in space with a meal program, food bank, harm reduction supplies and medical care are available. The program operates within the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's Guidelines for Methadone Maintenance Treatment.
