Residential Treatment - Addictions

Program Description

When admitted all residents will receive counselling, interaction group meetings, and lectures on appropriate themes. Residential treatment is offered to clients seeking treatment for substance abuse problems. Treatment begins with a telephone call. Individual treatment goals are then assessed.

Access Information

A face-to-face interview and a psychosocial assessment are required. A valid health card is required for this program. Clients must be able to function physically, and able to function using language. Clients are not able to be in the program if they are impaired. If a client is seen by a psychiatrist, then a referral from the psychiatrist is expected. If on medications must bring enough to last throughout program. Must produce drug coverage if available. Client must be detoxified before admission. Detoxification period is assessed case by case dependent on the detoxification centre or doctor or person overseeing the detoxification.

Program available at given hours. Family visiting is permitted Saturday and Sunday from 1200 to 1700.
