Addictions Treatment - Substance Abuse

Program Description

Specialized treatment for substance-involved women and their children zero to six. Harm reduction philosophies including abstinence goals are embraced within a feminist approach to treatment for women. Children are welcome during all aspects of programming. Women who are pregnant are a priority. Referrals to Heartspace programs, ADSTV programs, or external referrals are made as needed. Referrals for children are made through collaboration with all appropriate resources. There are no mandatory aspects of the program. Case Management has two counsellors as part of ongoing clinical appointments.

Access Information

Client must go through intake first. A walk-in assessment is available on Monday and Thursday afternoons, starting at 1300, if client has no restrictions or barriers (this is not a crisis walk-in, plan to stay for up to two hours). Intake can also be accessed by phone or email. Addiction assessments and treatment plans are completed after intake. No cost transportation assistance as needed.
